August 2010: DesignKaas wins Red Dot Award Communication Design 2010
I am very pleased to anounce that DesignKaas has won a Red Dot Award. With more than 12,000 submissions from more than 60 countries, the international “red dot design award” is the largest and most renowned design competition in the world.
This year`s red dot communication award attracted a record number of entries: 6,369 from 44 nations. From this, 610 received a red dot award. The Award is presented during the Red Dot Design Gala in December and the winners will be exposed in the Red Dot Design Museum.
The red dot design museum is unique. It displays the world`s largest and surely also the most unusual exhibition of contemporary design. Over 4,000 square metres of floorspace provide a showcase for around 1,500 products from across the globe - all of them winners of the red dot. The names of the designers and manufacturers read like a who`s who of design. And all that in the breathtaking architecture of the former Zollverein colliery.

19th of March 2010 DesignKaas at Moooi Gallery in Amsterdam
Yesterday we had the succesfull opening of DesignKaas exhibition at Moooi Gallery in Amsterdam.There were about 300 guests, good music, wine and we had a giant black DesignCheese with the lace design that was cut by Marcel Wanders.
Next to DesignKaas there is also a beautifull exposition by Lorenzo Petrantoni and surprising sugar designs made by food designer Marije Vogelzang.

DesignKaas on European Innovation Congres FEI 2010 (Front End of Innovation) of the PDMA
From 8th till 10th of February there was a big international innovation congres FEI 2010 organised by the PDMA in the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel. All Keynote speakersin the congres got a Dutch Design Cheese as a present. The PDMA had organised an innovation lounge where several innovative organisations could present their products. DesignKaas was also one of those innovative Dutch initiatives that presented themselves. DesignKaas is also mentioned as one of the innovations in the book `Good News from the Nethelands 2010, 50 inspiring innovations`.
